New Delhi: In the latest United Nations Security Council report, the name of the Pakistan-based terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed has appeared in the context of several terrorist incidents. According to the report, indications of this organization’s involvement have also been found in the car bomb explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort.

The UN’s 37th Monitoring Report, prepared under the Security Council’s 1267 Sanctions Committee, states that the threads of this attack connect to the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed. The UN’s Analytical Support and Sanctions Monitoring Team has pointed towards a link between the blast near the Red Fort and the terrorist organization Jaish in its investigation.

The UN report has once again raised serious questions regarding cross-border terrorism. According to the report, a member state provided information that Jaish-e-Mohammed had claimed responsibility for the related attacks.

The report also mentions that Masood Azhar announced the creation of a separate wing for women within the organization on October 8, named Jamat-ul-Muminat. Although this new wing is not yet included in the United Nations sanctions list, allegations of supporting terrorist activities have been leveled against it.

Differences over Jaish-e-Mohammed’s activity, many revelations in UN report

Differences have emerged among member states regarding the current status of Jaish-e-Mohammed in the United Nations report. One member state says that this organization is still active, while another country has described it as “inactive.” Pakistan has previously claimed that after the ban on Jaish and Lashkar-e-Taiba, these organizations are not active.

The report also mentions the Pahalgam terror attack of April 2025, in which 26 civilians lost their lives. The responsibility for this attack was taken by ‘The Resistance Front’ (TRF), which is considered a proxy organization of Lashkar-e-Taiba. Information about the killing of three suspects in this case on July 28, 2025, has also been given.

Apart from this, the action taken by India on terrorist hideouts in Pakistan in May 2025 is also mentioned in the report. At the same time, mentioning the attack near the Red Fort in New Delhi on November 10, 2025, it was reported that 15 people were claimed to have died in that incident.
