A tragic news has emerged from Assam, Northeast India. A modern Sukhoi fighter jet of the Indian Air Force has crashed. Information has come to light that both pilots aboard the aircraft were martyred in this accident.

Initial reports stated that the Air Force’s Sukhoi aircraft suddenly disappeared from radar. Later, it was confirmed that the aircraft crashed in Assam’s Karbi Anglong region.

How did the aircraft disappear?

According to information received, the Indian Air Force’s Sukhoi fighter jet took off from Jorhat Airbase in Assam for a training mission. The aircraft took off for training around 7 PM on Thursday. It is reported that contact with the aircraft was last established at 7:42 PM.

Shortly after, the fighter jet suddenly disappeared from radar, causing an uproar in the Air Force and administration. After losing contact with the aircraft, officials immediately initiated an investigation and launched a search operation.

News of the crash emerged

According to information received, the Air Force’s Sukhoi fighter jet crashed in the Karbi Anglong area of Assam. This area is reportedly about 60 kilometers from Jorhat. Upon receiving information about the accident, army and police teams reached the spot and are conducting a search operation.

According to local residents, they saw an aircraft flying in the sky, which gradually descended and suddenly crashed. Eyewitnesses say that a loud explosion-like sound was heard after the accident, creating chaos in the area.

Search and rescue operation launched

The Defense Public Relations Officer (Defense PRO) based in Guwahati also stated that the Su-30 MKI fighter jet went missing after losing radar contact. Upon receiving information about the incident, Indian Air Force teams were dispatched to the scene.

According to officials, an investigation has been launched to determine the causes of the accident. Additionally, a search and rescue operation is being conducted in the area to gather all information related to the aircraft and the incident.
