Amidst the ongoing tense situation with Iran, earthquake tremors in America have increased people’s concern. According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), a 4.3 magnitude earthquake was recorded in Nevada state on Sunday morning.
The impact of the tremors was particularly felt in the rural areas of Nevada, where ground shaking caused panic among people in many areas. USGS also reported that some aftershocks were recorded after the main earthquake, further increasing the anxiety of local residents.
America’s Secret Tonopah Test Range
Seismic activities have been continuously recorded in Nevada in recent days. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, tremors have been felt repeatedly in the northeastern part of Tonopah city for the past three days.
The U.S. Air Force’s confidential testing center, Tonopah Test Range, informally known as ‘Area 52,’ is located in this very area. These continuous tremors have further fueled curiosity and discussion about this region.
Many Tremors Recorded So Far
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, multiple earthquakes have been recorded in this region since Sunday (March 1). Most tremors had a magnitude greater than 2.5, while the strongest tremor was 4.3 magnitude on Sunday morning. Its epicenter was reported to be about 48 miles (approximately 77 kilometers) northeast of Tonopah.
Stir Amidst Trump’s Warning
The timing of these tremors near the nuclear test site is also a subject of discussion, as tension between the U.S. and Iran is at its peak during this period. Recently, former U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the “biggest wave” of conflict is yet to come, which has further intensified speculation about the situation.
Fear of Escalating Global Tensions
This seismic activity in Nevada comes at a time when news of military tensions between the United States and Iran is in the headlines. Strict rhetoric and military activities regarding the nuclear program have increased international concern. Some experts believe that if the situation is not brought under control, it could impact global stability.
