Anurag Kashyap Also Raised Objection

Before this controversy, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap had also reacted strongly to the trailer of ‘The Kerala Story 2’. He made sharp remarks about the film, calling it nonsensical and propaganda.

Kashyap questioned that the scene shown in the trailer seems beyond reality. According to him, it is not clear what the purpose of the film’s makers is by showing such scenes. He alleged that such films create division in society and are made only for commercial gain.

Kerala Chief Minister Also Raised Objection

Before actor Prakash Raj and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, Pinarayi Vijayan had also expressed displeasure over the trailer of ‘The Kerala Story 2’.

The very next day after the trailer was released, the Chief Minister criticized the film’s makers in his social media reaction. He called it a hate-mongering film and said that given the controversies surrounding the first part, its sequel should be taken seriously. According to him, the state will not accept any attempt to harm Kerala’s secular image.

The Chief Minister also said that efforts to create division or tension in society should be opposed collectively, and the truth ultimately comes out.

When Will The Film Be Released?

The film ‘The Kerala Story 2 – Goes Beyond’ is set to release in theaters on February 27. Its trailer was released on February 18, after which both discussions and controversies around it have intensified.
