Tehran: Amidst rising military tensions with Israel and the US, Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian has adopted a strong stance, delivering a firm message. Without naming him directly, he targeted former US President Donald Trump, stating that Iran will not allow anyone to take even an inch of its land.
In an interview with Press TV on Sunday, Pezeshkian said that Iran is prepared at every level to defend its territorial integrity. He stated in clear terms that there would be no compromise on the country’s sovereignty and border security, no matter how difficult the circumstances.
The President’s statement comes at a time when reports of continuous airstrikes on Iran by the US and Israel are emerging. These attacks are targeting Tehran’s military capabilities and strategic installations, further escalating tensions in the region.
Iran will not back down from retaliation
President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that Iran’s policy is not aggressive but purely defensive. He assured neighboring countries that Iran desires peace and stability in the region. However, he also made it clear that if any country’s land is used for US or Israeli attacks, Iran will not hesitate to retaliate.
His statement is considered very significant in the context of recent developments. Earlier, there were reports of missile and drone attacks by Iran on some countries in the Gulf region. However, at that time, Pezeshkian had expressed regret over these attacks and assured to maintain peace.
He had also said that Iran would not target the land of neighboring countries unless they initiated an attack.
The dream of Iran’s surrender will never be fulfilled
According to Press TV, President Masoud Pezeshkian praised the solidarity of the Iranian people, stating that enemies would never be able to fulfill their dream of subjugating Iran. He said that those who hope for Iran’s surrender would take this wish to their graves.
Pezeshkian also criticized aggressive nations for the attacks, citing international law and human rights. He stated that Iran is fully committed to defending its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The President’s statement reiterates the policy under which Iran has consistently advocated for the strong defense of its borders and national interests. Before him, several senior leaders, including Iran’s army chief, had also expressed a similar firm stance.
