How the Illegal Business Operated

During the investigation, it came to light that this gang was illegally manufacturing opioids and psychotropic substances along with fake medicines and cough syrups. The finished goods were sent to the market through fake medical stores and local suppliers.

According to the police, more than five kilograms of Tramadol powder, smuggled illegally, was processed into tablets at Arun’s factory. Its value in the international market has been estimated at over five crore rupees. These tablets were sold at high prices in the illegal market as a substitute for heroin.

The investigation also found that the entire chain, from the procurement of raw materials to the manufacturing of drugs and their supply, was being operated illegally. Further investigation into the matter is ongoing.
