UP Board Exams 2026: Strict Security Arrangements Before 10th-12th Exams, Board Issues New Guidelines

The Uttar Pradesh government has taken stock of the preparations for the Board Exams of the year 2026. In view of the High School and Intermediate examinations starting from February 18, instructions have been given to the concerned officials to ensure security arrangements and other necessary arrangements well in time.

This time, the 10th and 12th exams will be conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad from February 18 to March 12. The exams will be held in two shifts across the state so that the arrangements can operate smoothly.

Exam Time and Schedule

According to official information, the first shift exam will be conducted from 8:30 AM to 11:45 AM. The second shift will run from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM. High School (Class 10) exams will start with the Hindi subject, followed by the Computer subject exam.

An online meeting was organized under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Partha Sarthi Sen Sharma to review exam preparations. Senior officials of the education department, directors, and board secretaries also attended this meeting.

Instructions were given in the meeting that regular monitoring of command and control rooms set up at the district level should be done, and inspection of exam centers should be ensured from time to time. Officials also stated that arrangements for adequate furniture, clean toilets, drinking water, and uninterrupted electricity supply must be robust at all centers so that exams can be conducted smoothly and fairly.

Strict Security Arrangements at Exam Centers

The government has issued strict instructions regarding security to conduct board exams in a fair and peaceful manner. Deployment of armed police forces at the control rooms of all exam centers has been made mandatory so that any emergency situation can be dealt with immediately. District Inspectors of Schools have been instructed to ensure that full details of all employees engaged in exam duty are correctly recorded in the control room and preparations are completed within the set timeframe. Along with this, it has been asked to deeply verify the identity and identity cards of invigilators deployed in exam halls. Instructions have been given to flying squads to keep a special watch on sensitive and highly sensitive centers so that cheating or any kind of irregularity can be stopped in time.

Instructions for Security of Question Papers and Answer Sheets

The Board Secretary has ordered extra vigilance regarding the security of exam materials. It has been asked to ensure strict monitoring and security arrangements in the rooms where question papers and answer sheets will be kept so that there is no scope for any kind of negligence. Apart from this, instructions have been given to take immediate legal action on any misleading information related to exams or rumors spreading on social media. It has been made clear to officials that strict vigil should be kept on such activities.

Clear guidelines have also been issued to safely transport the answer sheets to the designated evaluation centers after the exam ends, so that the entire process remains transparent and organized.

Important Advice from the Board for Students

The Board has advised students to focus only on revision instead of starting new things in the final days before the exam. Students have been told to solve model papers, revise notes made by them, and clarify doubts in subjects with teachers. The Board has also suggested avoiding reading new topics at the last minute. Maintain a regular routine, get enough sleep, and follow a balanced diet to remain physically and mentally healthy.

Students have been instructed to reach the center before the scheduled time on the day of the exam. Latecomers will not be granted entry. Arrangements for monitoring via CCTV cameras will be made at important and sensitive exam centers to maintain transparency and security.
