The Aam Aadmi Party has made a major change in the Rajya Sabha, removing Raghav Chadha from the post of Deputy Leader. The party has sent a letter to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat recommending that Ashok Mittal be given this responsibility in his place. Ashok Mittal, a Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab, will now be AAP’s new Deputy Leader.
The party has described this change as a normal process. Earlier, N.D. Gupta also held this post. According to sources, Raghav Chadha may meet the Rajya Sabha Secretary General regarding this matter. In recent months, he had raised several important public issues in the House, which were widely discussed.
Last month, he raised the issue of daily data limit and data rollover in the Rajya Sabha. He stated that if the daily data received according to the mobile phone plan is not fully utilized, there should be a system to use it later. Raghav Chadha, Aam Aadmi Party MP in Rajya Sabha, had said that this is not just about data but also about consumer rights. He also demanded that the incoming call service should not stop immediately after the recharge expires.

The AAP MP demanded that the facility to use leftover data later should be provided and that it should not expire, even if its validity period is over. He stated that this is not just a data issue, but an issue related to consumer rights.
He suggested that if data is left at the end of the month, the user should have the facility to adjust it in their next recharge. Additionally, he said that the remaining data should be considered a “digital asset” and an option to transfer it when needed should also be provided.
Giving an example, he said that just as we pay for electricity according to our consumption, in the case of data, users should also be charged only according to the data used.
