Israel US Iran War: Despite a ceasefire between Iran and the US, Israel has launched a fresh attack on Lebanon. The Israeli army claims that Hezbollah’s new chief, Naim Qassem, has been killed in this operation.
It is being reported that Qassem was given command of the organization after the death of former Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah. Before this, he was serving as the Deputy Chief.
IDF’s Claim
The Israeli army (IDF) stated in its declaration that Hezbollah’s Deputy Secretary, Naim Qassem, was killed in an attack carried out in Beirut. This operation targeted terrorist bases in southern Lebanon on Wednesday night.
Close Ally Also Killed
The IDF also claimed that Hezbollah chief’s personal secretary, Ali Yousef Kharashi, also died in this operation. It is being reported that Kharashi was Naim Qassem’s nephew and was considered a close associate and advisor in the organization. He played an important role in the operation of his office and security arrangements.
Additionally, the IDF also attacked two important crossing points in Lebanon, which were used for the movement of weapons and rockets. According to the army, large quantities of weapons were supplied through these routes. Along with this, approximately 10 Hezbollah weapon depots, launch sites, and bases were also targeted in southern Lebanon.
