Reports of Shraddha Kapoor joining Vicky Kaushal’s upcoming film Mahavatar are making rounds. There is a lot of excitement among fans regarding this potential new pairing, although no official confirmation regarding the casting has been made by the makers yet.
According to reports, discussions between the makers and Shraddha Kapoor are ongoing. A Mid-Day report states that Shraddha is considered the right choice for this role. The team was looking for a face that has strong star appeal along with a powerful screen presence.
Along with this, it is believed that Vicky Kaushal and Shraddha Kapoor’s pairing might be seen for the first time on the big screen, which could prove to be a new and fresh combination for the film.
Earlier, it was rumored that Deepika Padukone might be a part of the film Mahavatar, but now according to reports, discussions between her and the makers could not progress further. However, no official confirmation has been made regarding this yet.
According to a Mid-Day report, Vicky Kaushal is currently unable to start his physical training as he is busy shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Love & War, where he sports an athletic look.
Whereas for Mahavatar, he will need a strong and heavy physique like a wrestler, for which special preparation will be required.
Additionally, Vicky Kaushal will have to sport a rough-and-tough look with long matted hair in the film. After completing the shooting of Love & War in April, he will adopt a special diet plan and workout routine for this new character. This project was announced in 2024, and its first look was also released, which went viral immediately upon release.
In Mahavatar, Vicky Kaushal will be seen playing the role of Chiranjeevi Parshuram. The film is directed by Amar Kaushik. This film will be released in cinemas on Christmas 2026.
