Attack on BJP Candidate’s Vehicle in Mathabhanga, TMC Workers Accused of Vandalism

The political atmosphere in West Bengal is continuously heating up regarding the assembly elections. The situation of confrontation between the state’s ruling TMC and the opposition BJP is clearly visible in many places. Supporters and workers of both parties are taking to the streets and shouting strong slogans against each other, creating an atmosphere of tension in several areas.

The situation has deteriorated to such an extent that incidents of clashes and physical fights between the workers of both parties are also coming to light in some places. Political competition now appears to be taking the form of street clashes, which has increased concern among local residents.

A fresh case has emerged from the Mathabhanga area of Cooch Behar district, where a situation of tension and violence arose between the supporters of both parties. This incident has further escalated political tension in the area.

Extra police forces have been deployed in the area to keep the situation under control. It is reported that during this time, TMC workers targeted the vehicle of BJP candidate Savitri Burman and vandalized it heavily, creating an atmosphere of chaos at the spot.

Seeing the situation deteriorate after the incident, the administration took immediate action and deployed central security forces along with the police force in the entire area to prevent any further violence or tension.

On the other hand, BJP leaders have reacted strongly to this incident and demanded intervention from the Election Commission. They stated that all individuals involved in this attack should be identified and arrested as soon as possible so that peace and fairness can be maintained in the electoral atmosphere.
