‘Dhurandhar’ Franchise Sets New Box Office Record, Crosses 3000 Crore Globally

 

The ‘Dhurandhar’ franchise, directed by Aditya Dhar, has created new history at the worldwide box office. This franchise has achieved a major milestone for Indian cinema on a global level. Due to the spectacular performance of both films, their total earnings have now crossed 3000 crore rupees. With this, ‘Dhurandhar’ has become the first Indian film franchise to claim this record.

Talking about the first film, the Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Dhurandhar’ was released on December 5, 2025. It earned a net collection of more than 840 crore rupees in India, while its gross collection in the country was approximately 1000 crore rupees. Meanwhile, the film earned about 300 crore rupees abroad, making its total worldwide collection more than 1300 crore rupees. With this performance, the film joined the ranks of India’s highest-grossing movies.

The gross collection stands at 2305.35 crore rupees, while the combined overseas earnings of both films are 714.00 crore rupees. With this, their combined worldwide collection has crossed the 3 thousand crore mark, reaching 3019.35 crore rupees.

‘Dhurandhar 2’ has taken this franchise to an entirely new level. Just a few months after the first film, its sequel ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ was released in theaters on March 19. This Ranveer Singh starrer earned more than 1700 crore rupees worldwide in just 26 days of its release. Notably, despite not being released in Gulf countries, the film continued its stellar performance in several international markets.

In India, this film has achieved a historic feat by crossing the 1000 crore rupee net collection mark. It has become the first film to do so, joining the ranks of Bollywood’s biggest films and recording itself as the second-largest film in the country. So far, its net collection in India has exceeded 1083 crore rupees.

The powerful earnings of this sequel played a key role in propelling the entire franchise into the 3000 crore club.

Looking at the total figures of both films, the ‘Dhurandhar’ duology has collectively earned a net of 1923.85 crore rupees and a gross of 2305.35 crore rupees in India. Meanwhile, the combined overseas earnings of both films stood at 714 crore rupees. Thus, the total worldwide collection of both films combined has reached 3019.35 crore rupees, establishing it as one of the most successful franchises in Indian cinema.
