Chennai Super Kings has suffered a major setback in the middle of the IPL. The team’s star fast bowler, Khaleel Ahmed, has been ruled out for the entire season, which could further increase the troubles for CSK. This loss could prove costly for a team already under pressure. For now, the franchise has not yet made any announcement regarding who will replace him in the team.

CSK shocked by Khaleel Ahmed’s injury

Khaleel Ahmed was consistently playing for Chennai Super Kings this season. He was unable to take wickets in the first three matches, but after that, he found his rhythm and took one wicket each in the next two matches. He suffered an injury during the last match played against KKR, after which there were fears of him being ruled out, and now it has been confirmed.

Will be away from the field for 10-12 weeks

According to reports, Khaleel Ahmed has been ruled out of the IPL due to a quadriceps injury. During the match against KKR on April 14, he complained of pain in his right hip. He was playing an important role for the team in the initial phase, but now this injury has proven to be a major blow for him. It is being reported that this is a Grade-2 tear, due to which it may take him at least 10 to 12 weeks to recover. Khaleel has played 11 ODIs and 18 T20 matches for India; his last international match was in July 2024.
