Bhuvneshwar Kumar Achieves Major Milestone, Creates History with a Wicket

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has achieved another major milestone in the IPL. He has now become the most successful fast bowler in the tournament’s history. Bhuvi is the first pacer to reach the 200-wicket mark in the IPL—an achievement no fast bowler had accomplished before him.

Additionally, in terms of total wickets, he has reached the second position in IPL history and has also become the overall second bowler to take 200 wickets.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has climbed to the second spot in the list of bowlers with the most wickets in the IPL. Yuzvendra Chahal tops this list with 224 wickets from 176 matches. Bhuvi achieved this special feat by completing 200 wickets in 192 matches.

Sunil Narine holds the third position in this list with 193 wickets in 191 matches. Piyush Chawla is in fourth place with 192 wickets from 192 matches, while R Ashwin is at the fifth spot with 187 wickets.

Bhuvi Achieves Special Feat by Taking Ayush Mhatre’s Wicket

Bhuvneshwar Kumar completed his 200 IPL wickets by dismissing Ayush Mhatre in the match against Chennai Super Kings. He bowled a hard-length delivery, which Mhatre attempted to pull but mistimed it, leading to an easy catch by Rajat Patidar standing at mid-off.

In this match, Mhatre returned to the pavilion after scoring just 1 run off 3 balls. Given Bhuvi’s sharp bowling, it seemed quite difficult for Chennai’s batsmen to score runs against him.

Royal Challengers Bangalore set a massive target of 251 runs against Chennai Super Kings. Batting first, Bangalore’s batsmen scored aggressively.

Devdutt Padikkal played a crucial innings of 50 runs off 29 balls for the team. Tim David, on the other hand, changed the course of the match by smashing an unbeaten 70 runs off 25 balls, including 3 fours and 8 sixes. Captain Rajat Patidar also strengthened the team’s score with an unbeaten 48 runs off 19 balls.

On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings’ bowlers proved quite expensive in this match, allowing Bangalore’s batsmen to play freely.
