Ranveer Singh’s film ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge,’ which is also known as ‘Dhurandhar 2’ in many places, has performed brilliantly in theaters. The film has secured its place among Bollywood’s first 1100 crore club films by earning tremendously at the box office. Not only this, the entire franchise has done business of over 3000 crore rupees so far, making it one of the biggest hit franchises in Indian cinema.
Even after completing 33 days in theaters, the film’s earnings continue, and it is consistently collecting in crores. Following this success, the makers have now started preparations to release it on digital platforms.
According to reports, the OTT rights for ‘Dhurandhar 2’ have been purchased by Jio Hotstar. This deal has been finalized for approximately 150 crore rupees, which is being counted among the largest digital deals for any Hindi film to date.
Interestingly, the first part of this franchise was released on Netflix, but the arrival of the sequel on Jio Hotstar is considered a significant shift in its digital release pattern. This clearly indicates that there is now intense competition between platforms for the OTT rights of major projects.
According to media reports, this film could be available for streaming on the OTT platform by the end of May or the beginning of June. Usually, it is seen that any film is released on a digital platform about two to three months after its theatrical release, but this time the situation is slightly different.
Considering the film’s excellent box office performance, the makers are contemplating pushing its digital release slightly further so that its earning streak in theaters can continue for longer.
This film was released in theaters on March 19, 2026, and has been continuously attracting audiences to theaters ever since. Even after several weeks of release, the craze for the film persists, reflecting its strong storyline and star power.
The box office performance of ‘Dhurandhar 2’ remains consistently strong. Even on the 33rd day of release, the film earned a net collection of approximately 1.62 crore rupees through 3,672 shows. The total earnings of this film, which has been in theaters for a long time, has now reached a massive figure.
After 33 days, the film’s total net collection was recorded at 1,117.29 crore rupees, while its gross collection has increased to 1,337.46 crore rupees. These figures clearly show that the film has maintained a strong hold on the domestic market.
Regarding the international market, the film earned about 0.40 crore rupees overseas on the 33rd day. With this, its total foreign gross collection has reached 421.50 crore rupees.
Combining all these figures, the worldwide gross collection of ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has now reached 758.96 crore rupees, making it one of the biggest films of the year.
