Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming film ‘Ramayana’ remains one of this year’s most talked-about and highly anticipated films. Recently, its teaser was released, which has further increased the excitement among the audience for this project.
In an important piece of information related to the film, actor Yash, who is playing the role of Ravana, has confirmed that the first part of director Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious series will be released in theaters in October 2026.
Meanwhile, new information regarding the English version of the film has also come to light. John Fithian, Founder Partner of The Fithian Group LLC, has hinted at the release of this international version. His company collaborated with Namit Malhotra and Yash for the film’s presentation to global distributors at Cinemacon 2026 held in Los Angeles.
John Fithian recently stated in a LinkedIn post that major theater companies from the USA, Canada, Caribbean, Latin America, Europe, and Australia participated in special screenings and private meetings for this film. The purpose of these meetings was to finalize the film’s international distribution and its global release plan.
Although the exact release date for the English version has not yet been officially announced, signals clearly indicate that the makers are preparing for a large-scale global release.
John Fithian also mentioned in his post that during these meetings, Namit Malhotra showed international distributors unseen visuals and clips of the film that had never been made public before. These clips utilized new technology and advanced special effects, which greatly impressed the foreign cinema operators.
Along with this, efforts were made during these meetings to understand from key representatives of the Western cinema industry how film distribution and exhibition are conducted in their regions, so that this project can be presented better on a global level.
After the post surfaced, fans and distributors began asking John Fithian questions regarding the film’s release date. One user asked when the film would finally be released and if independent filmmakers in Australia would also be able to see it.
Responding to this, John said that the release date has not yet been finalized. He also mentioned that there would be more meetings with international distributors and exhibitors this week to decide the future plan. However, he hinted that the English version of the film might be available in Australia.
He further added that a potential release for the English version could be around November 8, which aligns closely with the release window set around Diwali 2026.
